Trishul has been the frontrunner in empowering women as well as children from economically weak families through skill development and education since its foundation in 1988 in Versova, Mumbai. With a team of 1 full time and 8 part time members , Trishul has worked relentlessly through various skill development programmes to enable women in creating sustainable livelihood generation methods and has also provided a holistic education to the children . Over the last two decades , we have helped improve the quality of life for more than 50,000 families in the surrounding areas.
Vision
To create
a platform that develops and nurtures self-sustainable communities in
urban slums and economically backward rural villages with primary focus on
women and children.
Mission
Empower
female members of the families that have laboured under poverty and socially
backward status for decades, so as to provide them an equal chance towards a
better life and also create brighter future for the posterity .
.
Assist in
a wholesome and holistic development of the younger generation of these
impoverished communities, and in turn develop the overall quality of life
in the region.
Provide an
opportunity to the youth to break into the better stratas of society through
skill development workshops; mentoring and coaching sessions; and generating
career opportunities.
Inculcate
healthy and hygienic habits as well as facilitate waste management i
through recycling and upcycling.
